The Covid-19 pandemic has been a difficult time for many, but it has also allowed some to explore new hobbies and discover hidden talents. For me, this meant exploring the world of contemporary acrylic painting. I had never painted before but had always been fascinated by art and wanted to try it.
I started my journey with a lot of research and an open mind. I was looking to gain knowledge and skills in order to create abstract paintings that I could be proud of. I read articles and watched tutorials on painting techniques, colour theory, composition, and various styles of abstract art. Before long, I was ready to put my newfound knowledge into practice.
The adventure of creating my first pieces was thrilling and filled with surprises. As my paintings began to take shape, I felt a sense of accomplishment like never before. The self-satisfaction that came from achieving great results on each painting was truly rewarding. As my skills improved, the amount of praise from family, friends, and strangers grew exponentially.
It has been almost two years since I began my journey into acrylic painting. During this time, I have created many abstract pieces from my imagination. Each painting has brought me joy as it has served as a reminder that no matter how difficult times may be, we can still find ways to express ourselves creatively and make something beautiful out of our hardships.
I am so grateful for the opportunity the pandemic provided me to explore something completely new and reap the rewards that came along with it. And while restrictions continue in many places worldwide, I am more excited than ever to keep creating art for pleasure and share my creations with others who appreciate them as much as I do!
