About me

I was born and raised in Funchal, Madeira Island—Portugal and my background and passion are in graphic design and contemporary art. As I wanted to create something more tangible than a digital work, I decided to venture into painting with acrylic on canvas.

About my work

My artwork results from a consistent basis and a good foundation combined with several layers to enrich it and provide it with depth and detail. High-quality materials are key for creating an abstract painting that pleases not only me but also the viewer. Drawing inspiration from other artists' work, I constantly strive to expand my horizons as an artist.

Background

Originally beginning my career as a 3D designer for architecture, I soon specialised in graphic design - mainly web design projects - before finally making the switch to abstract painting as an escape from the digital world.
